2012 Halloween Cards

I got in the mood today to make some Halloween cards and turned out about 4 in an hour. It was pretty easy since I had all the coordinating papers and some stickers in my (large) stash. Here are the results. Please forgive the bad photo quality. I took these with my camera phone!

Courtney's graduation card

This is a card I made for my cousin's graduation!

I stamped all over the orange matte (behind the green one on the Dream Big portion of the card) to give it an extra effect. The Dream Big is hand stamped with multiple colored inks to give it a marbled effect.

Travel toy mini totes

These are lined with yellow fabric inside and have a complete side to side velcro enclosure. I made these so the boys could take some toys to their Grandparent's house in Okla and also have somewhere to store those toys while we were there. I got the fabric from Wal Mart.

 Noah chose Batman fabric

 Ethan chose The Avengers!

Filled with toys and ready to travel!

The inside of the tote. The yellow is actually a deeper yellow than in this picture.

Graduation frame matte - Class of 2012

Graduation frame matte - Class of 2012. I used her school colors, Royal Blue, gray and black in the matte. I wanted to give it a classic theme, nothing too juvenile, so that it can be displayed throughout the years.

A little bit closer view. I wish the silver cardstock I used as a matte would have shown up better but there is just no way to get it to glitter on a picture like it does in the sunlight. I used this glitter cardstock to give it a little "bling" (LOL) since it is for a young woman but at the same time keep it classic.

My first finished tote! The tote and handles are quilted fabric with the trim being a cotton fabric. It is far from perfect but it doesn't completely suck! And I learned a lot! :) I am so happy I finally finished it! I even fixed up Noah's Spiderman costume that was ( & is constantly)  falling apart as I was finishing up this tote. I just need to give my sister-in-law her sewing machine back and get my own now!

Big Hugs

Here is a new card I made today! I used some spare ribbon that I had along with some heart brads I've had sitting around forever. I am glad I could incorporate some spare embellishments and letters I have!

Abbey's baby shower card

Here's a cute card for a sweet baby girl on the way! I made this for Samantha's baby shower. Too bad I forgot to put it with the gift because I was so distracted by the wild lightning storm outside! So, I will mail it to her instead. I got the inspiration from her nursery's owl theme.

A Father's Day card for my Dad.

I couldn't find a card that I was happy with while shopping earlier today, so I decided to make one. It's masculine and goes with the theme of the gift I got him which was A Bass Pro Shops gift card.

Peanut Butter Pine Cone Bird Feeder!

Noah has been asking me to make peanut butter pine cone bird feeders for quite awhile now. It was a beautiful morning in our backyard so we got out our supplies (we have an abundance of pine cones!) and whipped this up. I am sure our birds will be very happy. Noah LOVES to craft!

All covered in peanut butter! I think Noah wants to lick it....

Ethan's Gift for Mrs. Morana

It's that time already! The end of the school year is upon us. Ethan and I wanted to give Mrs. Morana, his Kindergarten teacher, something personal and handmade yet also something that she would actually want! So, we handmade the card and decorated the Starbucks bag. Inside the bag was a Starbucks cold cup with some Via Iced Coffee and Hershey's kisses. I think we get an A+.  :)

Thoughtfully Simple

Here is a card I made that's very simple but a little whimsical. Hopefully it will bring a little love and cheer!

See Only Bliss!
By this, I mean to never let discouragement get in the way of our dreams.

85th birthday cards

Here are a couple of cards I made for my mother-in-law at her request for her friend who is turning 85. Not sure which one she'll choose or if she'll want both! Either way, I've got birthday cards for someone who loves flowers!

This one looks boring in the picture, much better in person. I wanted to keep it simple since it is for a very elderly lady's birthday.
